Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers consist of a bio-absorbable transparent gel crafted from hyaluronic acid (HA). This substance is naturally present in the body, so HA fillers are easily broken down through natural internal processes over time. HA fillers are used to help plump and fill areas that may have deflated with aging, or you may just wish to enhance your natural features. HA fillers provide temporary results lasting between 6 and 18 months, with the body gradually breaking down and absorbing the particles. Dermal Fillers are frequently used to augment lips and cheeks, refine shallow contours, and smooth facial creases and wrinkles.

Neurotoxin

Neurotoxins (aka the anti-wrinkle treatment) can be used throughout the face to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. In our day to day lives, we make many different facial expressions which over time, can lead to fine lines and creases in the skin. Using the active ingredient called botulinium toxin, neurotoxin injectables allow the muscle to relax and prevent it from contracting. These treatments will lead to a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles and help prevent the development of new fine lines developing. Neurotoxins can also be used for facial contouring to provide a refreshed appearance.

Therapeutic Neurotoxin

Botox (a neuromodulator/toxin) can be used to treat a variety of medical concerns, such as chronic migraines, TMJ Dysfunction and hyperhidrosis.

Migraines: Neurotoxin treatments may be used to treat chronic migraines. The toxin will be injected to various areas of your head, face and neck, effectively relaxing these muscles and interrupting the pathway of pain transmission between the brain and the nerves.

TMJ Dysfunction: Neurotoxin injections can help alleviate TMJ symptoms such as haw tension, headaches due to grinding teeth and lockjaw. Neurotoxin is injected into the masseter muscle, effectively relaxing the jaw.

Hyperhidrosis: Also known as excessive sweating can be treated with neurotoxin injections administered under the arms as well as palms of your hands. This will temporarily block the nerve signals that stimulate your sweat glands, reducing or eliminating sweating in the treated areas.

Initial results may be a reduction in severity or improvement in abortive medication efficacy. It is important to note that patients who do not see improvements in their headaches after 2-3 treatments are unlikely to respond if treatments are continued.  For TMJ or hyperhidrosis symptoms, you may begin to see improvements in about 14 days.

TMJ (masseter injections) are usually not covered.  Typical dosing is between 20 - 30 units/side at $8/unit.

Biostimulators

A collagen biostimulator is a substance administered via injection into the deep dermis, the middle layer of the skin. Upon injection, it triggers the production of collagen, thereby revitalizing the skin's structure and rejuvenating its natural firmness. Treatments utilizing collagen biostimulators such as Sculptra or Radiesse are minimally invasive and typically involve minimal downtime. The results manifest gradually, becoming noticeable a few months post-treatment. The effects of this treatment regimen can endure for up to 24 months.
