Vascular Concerns including Rosacea

Clarity II for Rosacea, Flush, leg veins and facial telangiectasia (veins)

The Clarity II laser utilizes a dual-wavelength system (755 nm Alexandrite and 1064 nm Nd:YAG) and is commonly used to treat various vascular conditions, including:

  1. Telangiectasias (spider veins)
  2. Facial redness or diffuse erythema, such as that associated with rosacea
  3. Cherry angiomas
  4. Leg veins (smaller vessels)

The 1064 nm Nd:YAG wavelength is particularly effective for vascular lesions because it penetrates deeper into the skin, targeting hemoglobin in blood vessels while sparing surrounding tissues.

  • How many treatments are needed for vascular conditions?

For patients with Rosacea or facial flushing, patients usually require 3 -5 sessions.  For facial, leg veins, or angiomas, usually 1 – 2 treatments are needed.

  • Is the treatment painful?

Treatment is typically fairly comfortable and is very fast.  We do not usually need to use any numbing prior to treatments.  The cryogen cooling in the Clarity II system helps with discomfort.

  • How often are treatments scheduled?

For patients receiving treatment for Rosacea, treatments are scheduled 4 weeks apart.  For patients receiving treatments for face/leg veins or angiomas, treatment is usually scheduled between 6-8 weeks apart.

  • How much do treatments cost?

The cost for treatment of Rosacea and other vascular conditions is patient dependent on the area and number of areas to be treated. Please book a consultation for further discussion and pricing.
